China-us economic and trade relations have made great progress in recent years, and trade and investment has become an important channel of both economic ties and the way. In the past 30 years of development history, the economic and trade relationship between the two parties was not all plain sailing. In the 21th century, with new trade protectionism sweeping the globe, the trade friction between countries are on a new development trends and features are increasing. In this thesis, I will state from the following aspects: the history of Sino-American, including modern and contemporary times, the development of entry WTO and the main characteristics. Firstly, the development of Sino-American experiences a long road in politics, history and culture. Especially in history, therefore it is necessary to look back to the history relations. Moreover, as for China’ development, we must talk about the entry to WTO. And how do the bilateral trade and trade balance go on, which greatly plays a significant role in the Sino-American business. So these are what I must analysis. At last, the thesis explains the three stages of development characteristics. One of the features of the thesis is that it involves a lot of exact figure.
