Let the Ss acknowledge the importance of EQ to one’s success.
2.Let the Ss master some important phrases and sentence patterns
3.Enable students to talk about EQ and IQ.
Process and methods
1. Improve the students’ reading ability and expressing ability.
2.By reading this article,the students will acknowledge IQ and EQ , especially the important role of EQ in their life
3. Association to increase their interest and enlarge their vocabulary.
4.Train the students’reading ability ,especially of skiming and scaning.
Emotion, attitude and values
1. Encourage students to learn English with interest and confidence
2.Teach the Ss to open their minds,widen their interests,enlarge knowledge in order achieve the full development of themselves.

1. How to distinguish IQ and EQ, and know the importance of EQ in one’s success.
2.Discuss the questions:
1) Which do you think is more important, IQ or EQ, on your way to success? Why?
2) List some signs of high EQ.
3)What can we do to improve our own IQ and EQ?
4)Do you think EQ and IQ tests should be a part of job recruitment? Why?
