II II ABSTRACT Since China’s reform and opening to the outside world, we lopsided stress on imparting knowledge to students and their intelligence development, paying less attention on moral intelligence quotient and emotion quotient or only paying attention in the form without expected effect by the party and the country. There being not always positive correlations between the level of moral intelligence quotient and psychological qualities of post-graduates, moral intelligence quotient definitely influences the development trend of post-graduates. Post-graduates with low level of moral intelligence quotient even easily take place the possibility of psychology problems and mental disorder. Above all, it’s necessary to identify, point out the problem and come up with enhancement strategies after analyzing the current situation of post-graduates’ moral intelligence quotient. Improving postgraduates’ moral intelligence quotient contributes to physical and mental health and comprehensive quality, offering employment guidance. In this paper, moral intelligence quotient is studied qualitatively and quantitatively and defined from ideological and political education, psychology and ethics. Moral intelligence quotient is a quotient expressing the gap between postgraduates’ moral accomplishment and national anticipation. The less the gap is, the higher the moral intelligence quotient is, and vice versa. A survey on current situation of postgraduates’ moral intelligence quotient is also made to analyze the low level from internal and external cause. Finally, strategies on how to improve postgraduates’ moral intelligence quotient is given, including improving education on socialist core values system, ethical self-cultivation and moral practice, and building good moral and environmental atmosphere.
