PAGE PAGE 10 Abstract Innovation has been the strongest calling of the present Chinese era. Institutional innovation lies in the basic position in all innovation words. In Institutional Changes and Economic Achievement, North, a western new institutional economist, made clear the purpose and theme from the very beginning: “Institution lays the encouraging structures in which people make exchange in political ,social or economic realm. Insitutional changes determine the ways of social evolution. Therefore, it is the key of explaining historic changes.” The theory of Deng Xiaoping’ s institutional innovation have huge significance that has been proved by glorious achievements from over twenty years’ reform and opening. So, summarizing its plentiful connatation systematically and analyzing its fundamental mind deeply, have very important directing value undoubtedly to push on innovation practice of socialist institution with Chinese characteristics. This article includes four sections besides preface. Its main content is: Preface, we mainly analyzed and defined specific connotation of Deng Xiaoping’ s “Instutional Innovation”.Deng Xiaoping gave explanatory notes of institutional innovation uniquely and completely in the course of thinking and devising Chinese socialist modernization construction, it means that we must cause “The Second Revolution’’ of specific institution, on base of sticking to fundamental institution of socialism and go on opening up new institutional space.
