ABSTRACT Radar imaging technology, which was developed from the 1950s, is a landmark in the developing histroy of radar techniques. With the advantages of all-weather, full-time and long-range, it can enhance radar’s information acquisition capability greatly, especially the battlefield awareness ability, which is of great value in both military use and civil use.,thus it has being attracted more and more interests. This dissertation mainly studies on some high resolution imaging methods , and it is organized as follows: The first chapter is mainly associated with the historical development and direction of high resolution imaging radars, also a brief introduction on the work mode is made. The second chapter introduces the principle of ISAR imaging and related techniques. The third chapter deals with the 3D ISAR imaging algorithm for rapidly spinning targets. A 2D spectrum matched filter banks based 3D ISAR imaging algorithm is proposed. Each spectrum matched filter bank yields focused slice for corresponding scatterers. By extracting the spatial parameters from all the slices, the 3D image of the target can be constructed. The fourth chapter discusses the principle of SAR imaging and some basic imaging algorithms, including the R-D and CS methods, some motion compensation methods is also introduced. The fifth chapter is concerned with repeated trajectory bistatic spotlight SAR imaging technique. An algorithm based on Spectrum Analysis (SPECAN) method is proposed. It suppress azimuth aliasing with a SPECAN processing, then the focused image can be got by using the traditional wavenumber domain algorithm. The final chapter concludes the whole dissertation and points out the problems left for further research.
