AbstraetAbstract Abstraet Abstract With the rapid development of the network，the internet has become a center of communication and information spread，which produces profound influence on the development of each field，It is the sarfle with the industry of civil engineering． Accompanying the boom of the building industry in our country，the need of the civil engineering information∞sources is increasing．Under the present circumstances of network，making full use of the civil engineering informmion resources and developing a civil engineering information website which can be conveniently applied and easily extended have important and realistic significance． Based on the sufficient analysis of the domestic and international application of the same kind，this thesis deals with developing a civil engineering infomamion resources website with JSP network development technique and SQL Server 2000 database system．As to the functions of the website，such as information searching， on．1ine reading，register and login，information maintenance etc，it gives detailed design ways and specific realization COurse． This system adopts various methods to optimize the function of information searching．In the aspects of database linking，the technique of correction pool is adopted to enhance efficiency and reduce resources consullqption of the system． Distributed searching technique is adopted to handle the searches of large text information．Searching results are displayed order by correlation with the key words，which increases the availability of the searching， This website realizes the platform development of the civil engineering information and the sorting of data resources．It provides great convenience to the efficient application and quick searching of various special criterion data of civil engineering．and does a great deal of benifit to engineering technicians who are engaged in the infrastructure construction of civil engineering． Key words：civil engineering，information searching,cormect
