Successful transplantion relies on the normal proliferation and, differentiation of the transplated hematopoietic stem cells in the recipients, and the low occurence of complications occurence. In previous studies, more attention has been paid onto the hematopoietic stem cells rather than onto the hematopoietic inductive microenvironment, which is actually necessary for the survival and function of the transplanted hematopoietic stem cells. Results from our studies indicate that the hematopoietic inductive microenvironment is as important as the hematopoietic stem cells in the transplantation therapy.
