哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 - - II - Abstract Cognitive radio (CR), an intelligent wireless communications technology, for which software radio is a platform, is considered the best way to solve the problem of low utilization of wireless spectrum. The main is to sense the enviornment (to detect the primary users). IEEE802.22 is the First Worldwide Wireless Standard based on Cognitive Radios. In this dissertation, Digital Down Conversion (DDC) is designed based on IEEE802.22. By digital calculation, the DDC implements the spectrum moving and rate transformation, and then gets the digital baseband signal. Common structures of DDC are Quadrature digital down conversion, Quadrature samples down conversion and down conversion basing on Polyphase Filters. And I propose a way to optimizate the DDC. According to the application requirements of IEEE802.22, this dissertation raises the method of how to determine the ADC resolution, analog IF signal gain and the clock jitter. DDC includes the components of digital mixer, digital VCO, CIC filter, half-band filters and FIR filter. This dissertation makes the theoretical analyzes on the components of DDC including influences of the zero and pole of CIC, SFDR of NCO and quantization noise filter. Then this dissertation designs the components with VHDL and FPGA, and optimizes these components on registers, though which the processing speed of FPGA can be improved and many hardware resources can be saved.All the new methods include use of Pipelined multipliers, combination of CORDIC and Lookup table, use of Dual-port RAM to implement arbitrary sample FIR filter. FPGA is the core of the hardware platform which includes of high-speed ADC, DAC ， interface of UART and power Regulator. This platform can transform two kinds of IF signals of IEEE802.22 to baseband signal. In short, the platform provides a new way for signal detection of Cognitive Radio.
