Abstract Alcohol，which plays an important role in people’s daily life, is familiar to human beings. People’s life becomes colorful with it. As to alcohol culture, differences and similarities co-exist between China and the western countries. A large number of previous researches have been done on specific alcohol culture, whereas few studies focus on the alcohol culture comparison between China and western countries. Systematic and comprehensive researches in this regard are hard to find. Since comparative studies on the similarities and differences of alcohol culture between China and western countries are lacking, this paper attempt to explore the differences from the raw materials and drinking customs and conclude their similarities to introduce the alcohol culture of China and western countries.
