Sinopec Group, Beijing 100728, China) Abstract: Using the SWOT analysis method, this paper discusses the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats faced by Chinas geothermal industry in scale development. Chinas geothermal industry has resources, market and technologies and that lays down a good foundation for large-scale development. Recently, with the continuous promotion of a series of major strategies and the implementation of supporting policies, the geothermal industry is facing significant development opportunities. However, the development of the geothermal industry still has many constraints such as unclear resource assets, undefined management system mechanisms, industrial policy system has not been established, lack of uniform technical specifications and standards.
