In order to explore the potential of the yield increase of Sanjiang Plain, the status and countermeasures of major soil resources utilization in agriculture of Sanjiang Plain area was analyzed. The author considered that there were various major soil types in Sanjiang Plain, especially the agriculture reserve soil resources, which was superior to other areas whether in the Heilongjiang Province or in China, had great potential for development. According to the current status of major soil resources utilization in Sanjiang Plain, the author suggested that the prerequisite of increase the local grain yield was to improve water conservancy construction; its guarantee was the cultivation of dominant crops; its the key is the improvement of low-yielding soil.
