Abstract The subgrade is the foundation of the pavement structure. For the pavement structure to withstand traffic loads and long-term environmental effects, solid and stable subgrade provides an important guarantee. In engineering practice, compacted subgrade soil as a physical and economic measures to the most commonly used, has unusual significance of subgrade bearing capacity and stability，is also a key link in the process of subgrade construction process. In some areas of our country, it is inevitable to compact subgrade filler, where the rainy season is long and the rainfall is large. Due to limitations of the construction period, the subgrade filler can not be completely dry to the optimum moisture content, when the subgrsde filler has a large water content. In some special circumstances of the repair of roads, it is possible to compact subgrade, which has greater moisture content. Faced with these unusual conditions, using compaction methods commonly used, subgrade filler degree of compaction is difficult to achieve project requirements. Vibratory compaction technology has become the most common way compacting subgrade. In vibration compaction process, the mode of action and effect between vibratory roller and material compacted is dynamic and complex, and it is necessary to treat the vibratory roller and material compacted as a closed-loop system to study. Subgrade vibration compaction effect is related not only filler characteristics but slso working parameters of vibratory rollers.
