( 363000) CdPbHgCr As Cd(2.39) Hg(2.00) Pb(1.40) Cr(0.63) As(0.57)CdPb HgCdHg 1.75 0.14, X53 A 1009-7791(2007)02-0045-03 Evaluation of Heavy Metal Contamination in Vegetable Soils of Zhangzhou, Fujian Province LIN Xiang-hua (Zhangzhou Agriculture Determination and Monitoring Center, Zhangzhou 363000, Fujian China) The contents of heavy metals as Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr and As in vegetable soils of Zhangzhou were investigated and the heavy metal contamination was evaluated by taking the ways of single pollution index and complex pollution index. It showed that, by taking the background value of soil of Fujian as the evaluation standard, soils of some vegetable lands of Zhangzhou were polluted by heavy metals with a pollution order of single pollution index as Cd (2.39) Hg (2.00) Pb (1.40) Cr (0.63) As (0.57) and the main pollution elements were Cd, Pb and Hg of which the pollution of Cd and Hg ranked medium grade, meanwhile the complex pollution index was 1.75 which ranked light grade.
