华中科技大学硕士学位论文 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 2 2 ABSTRACT As the technology develops, video communication technology is rapidly growing and can satisfy the needs of daily communication of daily life. However, people usually not settle for just basic functions, they query more interests while talking. The main purpose of this paper is to develop video communication software. The software can not only provide the basic audio and video communications but also many colorful features. These features are mostly used for special video effect which shows much pleasantly surprise. Two main skills are used in the developing of the software: DirectShow for audio/video capture/render; OpenGL for the special video effect. The software is supposed to have flowing features. In the aspect of audio processing. Volume control and sound shield functions will be implemented on the software. In the aspect of video processing. The software will support such functions: User can change brightness, saturation, contrast and extra basic parameters for better view, can set video window parameters, can save video picture, can shield video and the main work of the paper – a range of special video effects can be set in the software. The manner of showing special video effects is sending the OpenGL scene to the remote user. Users can select a variety of effects. Such as color change in partial of the scene, kinds of frames with different ratio of transparency and shapes, fireworks, weathers, fogs which produced by particle system. Users can also adjust many parameters of each effect so one can generate a unique effect.
