贵州大学硕士研究生论文基于 贵州大学硕士研究生论文 基于 NS 的 BGP 协议仿真研究 I IV Abstract BGP is the sole inter-domain routing protocol of the Internet with the purpose of maintaining reachability among the autonomous systems which constitute the Internet. Yet current use of BGP extends well beyond its original design goals. BGP has evolved into a complicated protocol with plenty of applicable policies and features, which causes the difficulties of understanding of BGP dynamics. The Internet has never been constructed following the comprehensive and well-considered designs from the very beginning. Further, the Internet keeps growing and the management distributes among different levels of organizations. As a result, it is probably impossible for researchers to analyze and study the practical problems on the Internet. Network simulation is a powerful tool for researchers to study large scale network, design and implement new protocols and algorithms, and analyze and authorize the running conditions of real networks. It models communication networks and simulate the processes of the real network running by simulation software. NS is one of the widely used simulation software with several attractive features such as the openness of codes, modularity of the design, and richness of components. This thesis provides a method to implement a BGP simulation based on NS in combination with bgpd component from routing software which maintains and integrates the most details and features of standard BGP protocol and provides a practicable simulating platform for BGP studies.
