things in English. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. It is of
great help to your English study.
②Enjoy your weekend, enjoy your life.

1. Train students’ listening and speaking skills;
2. Learn to talk about recent past events using the target language.

Teaching Procedures:
Step1. Warm up
Let the students enjoy a song and sing the song.
T: Good morning,boys and girls. How are you today? Let’s sing a song, OK? Can you sing?
Step2. Lead-in
Let Ss watch a video. Before they watch the video, look at two questions. Ss answer the two questions after they watch the video.
①What did the people do on the weekend?
② How was Jake’s weekend?
Step3. Presentation
The teacher will use some pictures of her son to let Ss talk about his last weekend to present the main vocabulary and target language.
T: This is my son. What did he do last weekend? Do you want to know? Let’s see.
What did he do on Saturday morning?
--- He visited his grandparents. (让学生读一遍)
What did he do on Saturday afternoon?
--- He played badminton.
What did he do on Saturday night?
--- He practiced the piano.
T: What else did he do? Do you know?
---On Saturday morning, he went to the cinema.
What did he do on Sunday afternoon?
--- He went to the beach. (让学生读一遍)
What did he do on Sunday night?
--- He drew a picture. (让学生读一遍)
T: How was my son’s last weekend?
--- It was great/ wonderful…
