Section A Period 1 Teaching objectives: 1.The key words : post ,office ,police ,hotel ,restaurant ,bank,hospital ,street ,pay and near. 2.The key phrases :post office , police station, pay phone 3.The key sentences : -Is there a hotel near here? -Yes, there is. It’s on Bridge Street. Difficulties and focus : Learn and master the key words about places. Be able to ask for and give directions .Learn and master the sentence pattern “there be”. The usage of preposition. Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead in Greeting Teacher: Hello! Boys and girls! How is the weather today? Students: It’s…(sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy…) Teacher: Do you like it? Students: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t. Teacher: Well, I went to Guangzhou last year, this was my first time to go to the city, I couldn’t find a hotel to stay in, so I had to ask a policeman about the way to the hotel.
