中山大学硕士学位论文ABSTRACT 中山大学硕士学位论文 ABSTRACT This dissertation is based on a network data backup／recovery software project， which is developed by Software Institute of Zhongshan University and Guangzhou Viton Network Technology Co．，Ltd．The author participate the whole development as one of the main developers．This dissertation focuses on the GUI problems of the project and their solutions．Since the system is based on distributed multi-tier architecture，each tier is designed to be low—coupled．The system architecture is different from those adopted by other application system．Its components base on the concept ofjob．They produce jobs according to the plan and provide unified interface for different client end database backup／recovery invocation．This architecture makes it possible that plug—ins can be added dynamically．Problems come from the need of dynamic plug—in technology,support of heterogeneous database backup／recovery and the existing of different parameters for different database backup／recovery strategies． That is，how to generate different parameterized GUIs with unified interface according to different needs without changing the code．To meet the need of dynamically update GUI by adding plug-ins，this dissertation not only adopt the XML-based—GUI-Langnage principle and wxWindows lib，but also make use of the self-explain and self-inclusive features of XML to develop a cross-platform GUI for the project． The research results of this dissertation mainly include XML files mapped from wxWindow components through application of XUL principle．The author spends much effort on mapping the specific wxWindow components to XML files and then parses them into GUIs with using of design pattern．The results meet project’s needs and support the adding of more GUI style in the future，The 1st chapter of the dissertation introduces the project background and the related technologies．The 2nd chapter briefly introduces the project architecture and the dissertation’s supporting theory．The
