About Daily Report The Daily Drilling Report is one of the most important sources of information in the Oil Industry. From it engineering reports are compiled showing such information as penetration rates,cost of rig operations,depth measurement details,well completion records, and equipment performance data. The Daily Drilling Report is also a legal document since it is a record signed by the Driller and Toolpusher showing the Contractor’s compliance with the terms of the drilling contract and State laws controlling drilling practices. It is also an accounting document from which the Contractor prepares his invoice to the Operator. It is highly important that the driller prepare this report accurately and completely.
