By taking measures including the localization of the oil and gas industry ，expansion of oil and gas downstream industries ，opening up access to oil and gas upstream industry ，as well as strengthening the international cooperation ，Brunei gains positive results in the transformation and promotion of oil and gas industry. However ，there is still some distance to the government ’s given target. How to reduce the dependence on the oil and gas industry and expand the related industries of oil and gas industry ，the Brunei government needs to take extra efforts in the given direction.
