Observasion of Curative Effect of Point-injection therapy Combined with the Antiemetic drug on Preventing and Treating the Gastrointestinal Side Reactions due to Chemotherapy Speciality: Clinical internal medicine of TCM Western medicine Author: Wang Wenjing Tutor: Professor Qi Yuanfu Abstract Objective: Observe the curative effects of the point-injection therapy combined with the antiemetic drug on preventing and treating the gastrointestinal side reactions due to chemotherapy,such as nausea,vomiting and decreased food appetite. Methods:60subjects with cancer were randomly divided into two groups, 30 patients in the observed group were administered with point-injection therapy combined with ondansetron, 30 in the control group with ondansetron only. Conditions of gastrointestinal adverse effects due to chemotherapy in different time were studied during one period of chemotherapy and the changes of KPS of the two groups before and after the chemotherapy are compared. Results: Point-injection therapy combined with the antiemetic drug can prevent and treat the nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy effectively,enhance the appetite and improve the quality of live. Conclusion: Point-injection therapy combined with the antiemetic drug can prevent and treat of gastrointestinal side reactions due to chemotherapy and can be one of the facultative methods improving the quality of the cancer patient’s live.
