Offs ore Oil Engineering CO. , LTD. , Tianjin 300452, C ina) Abstract: T e nonlinear dynamic elastic-plastic response for some offs ore jacket platforms impacted by t e large-tonnage Derrick Lay Barg- es during t e installation of steel jacket structures is investigated. T e nonlinear spring is introduced for t e simulation of t e force-deflection relations ip of t e local indentation for t e damaged X diagonal brace. T e added mass coefficients for t e seawater dynamic effects and t e pile-soil-structure interaction are considered in t e analysis of t e computational model. T e impact action of t e s ip is transformed into isoce- les triangle impulse load at different collision contact times. T e computational results are compared wit t e actual damages to determine t e collision contact time and maximum impact load under t e velocity of t e s ip being presumed. T e stress and displacement dynamic response curves of t e tubular nodes for offs ore jacket platform structures are obtained to evaluate t e damage extent.
