Part 1 Analysis of the Teaching Material
1.Teaching contents
Unit 8 is mainly talk about the food and how to make food. My lesson is the first period of this Unit. It’s an Aural-oral lesson.
2.Teaching goals
Knowledge goals
To master the new words and phrases.
e.g. shake, blender, peel, cut up, pour into, put in…
To master how to describe the process of making banana milk shake.
e.g. First, peel the bananas. Next, cut up the bananas….
Ability goals
Enable the students to listen to how to make a banana milk shake.To develop the students’ abilities of listening and speaking.
Emotion goals
Find the happiness of making food. Help parents do some housework at home. And then enjoy the life.
3. Analysis of the students
They are in Grade 8. Most of them are active and curious. But some students have gotten bored in English. So we need some games to activate them. Let them take part in the class.
4. Teaching design
Use games to attract the students.
Make the students communicate to others from beginning to end.
Use competition to activate them.
5. Teaching aids
Computer, the real food and some tools of making the banana milk shake.
