Abstract: To evaluate the interla er bonding strength betw een slurr seal and pavement, an
experimental setup w as designed on the basis of improved shear tester, w ith the aim to model w ell
the actual condition of loaded pavements. Experimental result show ed that the interla er bonding
strength betw een the slurr -sealed coat and asphalt-macadam bottom la er decreases w ith
increasing temperature. T aking some different measures to improve interla er conditions of
pavement can affect obviousl the bonding strength, such as using asphalt-macadam mixture w ith
big nominal grain size or making the pavement surface coarse b chisel.
