山尔师范大学硕士学位论文ABSTRACT 山尔师范大学硕士学位论文 ABSTRACT With the speedy expansion of network scale and complexity，intrusion detection systems become an indispensable part of networksecurity because of their capability of auto——detection in the intrusion behavior in computer systems and networks，Intrusion detection technology is a new generation security guard succeeding traditional security protection measures such as firewall，data encryption and SO on．It call detect the attacks not only from outside but also the inner ones． However， with the appearance of large scale and high speed network， it leads tO more and more rampant the actions ofhackers，the more secluded intrusive tricks and unpredictable losses which pose a large challenge to the existing IDS． This paper puts forward a distributed intrusion detection systembased on mobile agenB，which can improve the robustness，adaptability,flexibility and extensibility ofthe traditional intrusion detection system． The main contents of this paper are as follows： 1．It analyses and researches the basic developing statements in the field of technique in and broad and the basic thoughts ofthe technique，Also，it analyses the classification，and the normal methods of the intrusion detection system．And it describes the advantages and the disadvantages ofthe present system． 2．It presents the technology of mobile Agent in detail．Agent refers to the program that can simulate hmnan behavior and relation，which has certain intelligence and Can operate automatically and offers the corresponding service．With the development of network technology,Agent can be moved and carried out in network，finishing some functions．To apply the technique of Mobile Agent into the intrusion detection system can improve the speed of intrusion and detection。 diversify the methods of detection，improve the elasticity and expandability of the system，and solve the problems of mutually operation among different systems efficiently and the problems ofunstable quality ofnetwork
