Comparative analysis problems and achievements of the implementation of National Essential Drug System in Guangzhou, and provide basic data, evaluation results for decision-making. Methods （1）Documentary research – collecting information of the implementation of Essential Drug System domestically and abroad while analyzing the internal and external environments of Essential Drug System. （2）Data Information Network system – From Data Information Network system extract the data of health services and hospital income and expenditure of Community health service. （3）Cross-sectional survey –145 community health service institutions were selected by Typical sampling from Guangzhou, While each select 10 doctors.1110 outpatients were selected by Typical sampling from eight districts in Guangzhou and all survey was conducted by a self-designed questionnaire. Results （1）Aspects of Outpatient services and Inpatient services, Community health service institution indicated a growing trend in guangzhou from 2010 to 2012, the annual growth rae of Outpatient services was 16.53%, the annual growth rae of Inpatient services was 24.87%. Per outpatient costs was 86.19 yuan and 85.56 yuan respectively in 2008 and 2012. Per outpatient drugs costs was 50.01 yuan and 47.99 yuan respectively in 2008 and 2012. （2）The annual growth rae of Outpatient services revenue, Inpatient services revenue and financial compensation revenue was 23.40%, 22.67% and 22.33%, respectively, from 2010 to 2012 in
