The results showed that the total ecological foot print of the w a2 ter source area has an increasing trend w ith f luctuations, the ecological carrying capacity per capita is also increasing, and the ec2 ological deficit increases first but t hen decreases w ithout ecological surplus, which indicates that the w ater source area is unsus2 tainable during the research period. The findings can provide reference for the ecological construction of the relevant depart2 ments of South2to2 North Water
