Abstrac t Th is is the seventh in th e su rve series of the earl b ib liog raph ies on mi age engineering in Ch ina. T he
pu rpose o f this su rve w ork is m ain l to cap tu re th e up-to-date developm en t of mi age engineering in Ch ina, to
supp l a convenient m ean s of literature search ing facilit for readers w o rk ing in related areas, and to p rovide a
usefu l referen ce for the editors o f jou rnals and potent ial au thors of papers. Considering the w ide distribu tion of
related pub lications in C hina, m ore than 400 mi age eng ineering research and techn ique references are selected
carefu ll from near 2300 research papers pub lish ed in a set of 15 Ch inese jou rnals. These 15 journals are con sidered
as im portan t journals in w h ich papers con cern ing mi age eng ineering are relativel concen trated. T hose selected
references are classif ied first in to 5 categories and then in to 2 1 classes according to th eir con ten ts. Som e anal sis
and discu ssions abou t the statistics m ade on the classification resu lts
