A Wavelet Coefficient Threshold Denoising Method Based on a
Cross- Correlation Function

Abstract: In traditional denoising methods associated w ith w avelet coefficients, wavelet
coefficients on an scale are onl slightl offset after w avelet transformation to a nois signal. A
w avelet coefficients correlation denoising method based on a cross-correlation function was
proposed. A cross-correlation algorithm w as used to calculate the deviation of various scales and
the original nois signal, and to anal ze the deviated scale, thus obtaining an accurate mutant
signal. In order to remove the small number of nois signals in the vicinit of the mutation
signals, a critical threshold denoising method was used to do threshold processing w ith the scale
signal after correlation anal sis, following w hich an accurate useful signal w as reconstructed.
