Corresponding author : ZHA O Xing-dong, E-mail: zhaoxingdong @ mail. neu. edu. cn) Abstract: A 3D rockmass non-contact surve ing s stem w as emplo ed to identif the space geometr parameters of stope roof. Based on this, a new 3D joint modeling and anal zing s stem w as developed, and applied to set up 3D spacing model of stope roof , including the joint structure. According to space geometr parameters of structural plane of stope roof, structural plane, such as joint, fault and constitution, w ere stretched, w hich w ill intersect in spacing position and form the w edge structure. The spacing position, shape, and capacit of the w edge structure can be recognized, and its stabilit of the wedge structure can be anal zed. B appl ing these stud ing results, the spacing structure of stope roof has been surve ed and established the 3D modeling in 40055# stope of Sanshandao Golden Mine. T he spacing position of unstable rockmass has been determined on site, w hich can provide the real and reliable data helpful to the anal sis of the stope stabilit and evaluation of risk.
