Comparison of Extracting Slope Algorithms in Different Types of Landscape

Abstract: Y anchuan Count y of Nort h Shaanx i Pro vince, N iuchang of Sout hw est Guizhou P rovince, and
Jingjing County of H ebei P rov ince are select ed as t he t ypical areas of t he lo ess landscape, karst landfor m,
and hilly landfor m, respect ively. DEM is t aken as t he r esearch o bject in the t hree landfo rm areas w ith spat ial
resolut ion of 5 m acco rding to t he map scale of 1∀ 10 000. Six slope alg orit hm s t o ex t ract slope are u sed and
com pariso n analysis is made t o ident ify suit able alg orit hm s f or dif ferent landf orm s. Result s show that t he
reasonable alg orit hm s are threeorder inv erse dist ance square w eig ht diff er ence and t hreeorder inverse dis
t ance w eight dif ference. T he accuracy o f t he alg orit hm using eig ht adjacent units is higher t han the algor it hm
using t w o or f our adjacent units .
