AbstractThe Abstract The problem of Indian women has been one of the most important issues’that people concerned and disputed．It relates to the politics，the economy,the religion,the culture and the society of India，we can’t regard it as women’S own problem in isolation and in abstraction．Marxism-Leninism classics propose that the extent of women’S emancipation is the measure and the symbol of social progress． This article tries to discuss the developing problem of Indian women from the sonrcos of Indian women’S emancipation；the main time which is discussed in this article is during the England colonial dominance．This article consists of the preface and three chapters．The first chapter mainly discusses the sources of the social status inequality of Indian women from the Indian women’ concepts of traditional societies, and discuss the developing situations of Indian women’S social status ahead of the England colonial dominance．The second chapter principally discusses the promotion of Indian women’S emancipation．From the beginnmg of Indian women’S emancipation that consists of colonial invasion and the reform of social legislations which opened the door of Indian women’S emancipation at the beginning of the colonial dominance to the improvement by the new capitalist,the capitalist,the leaders of the national movement and Indian women．The three chapter primarily studies and analyzes the actual situation and significance of Indian women’S emancipation from the perspectives of Indian women’S social status，marriage，education,economy and the effect on the whole national liberation which Indian women’s emancipation had at that time，in order to fred some useful or helpful experiences to improve the development and progress of Indian society and the whole society of mankind． Key words： Indian woment England colonial dominance： women’S emancipation 前 前 言 研究殖民地时期的印度妇女解放问题既是一个老课题，又是一个新课题。说 它是老课题，是因为研究印度社会问题的学者，无不提及印度的妇女地位和作用， 而且公认妇女问题的解决和地位的改善对整个印度的社会改革的成败起着至关 重要的作用；说它是新课题，是因
