* * Our new Clarus GCMS provides unique key features such as High scan speed (up to 6500 Daltons/sec) The SIFI feature which allows user to do simultaneous full scan selected ion monitoring (SIM) at the same time. It is the widest mass range for bench top GCMS (1.0-1200 Datons) It has proven gold plate technology for enhance sensitivity reliability * * This slide shows the Clarus 600 ion optics. The ion source is on the left and the detector on the right. The Clarus Inner/Outer ion source design allows quick change of ion source and filament without exposing quadrupole and manifold to lab dust. RF-only pre-quads increase sensitivity and keep ion contamination off the analytical quadrupole, maximizing up-time. The Gold Technology of our high voltage conversion dynode maximizes stability and sensitivity. (Note: Ions are converted to photons when they hit the phosphor. The photons hit the photocathode of the photomultiplier tube, where they are converted to electrons and detected by the electronics.) The Clarus 600 uses a hermetically sealed Photomultiplier tube. Since it is not exposed to vacuum contaminants and ion bombardment, it typically lasts 10 years or more. Unlike other GC/MS systems, there is no need to replace an expensive “consumable” electron multiplier every year or two. * * Let talk a little bit more on the benefits of having fastest scan rate MS The left figure shows the peak that collect from 6 data points the right figure shows the peak that collect from 80 data points. With higher data points per peak, peak area integration will be more accurate this cause the better quantitative result. * * This slide provides you a little bit more idea on how SIFI work On the bottom TIC is came from the full scan monitoring. The middle one is the full scan mode on the mass 394. The top one is the SIM mode for the mass 394. The S/N ratio on the SIM mode is 647 compare to 41 on the middle TIC. Remember..All these three TICs are form the same r
