It is necessary to analyze the bacterial distribu tion in eye and re sistance regu larity to antib iotic s. In cu rren t p ap er, we studied the distribution of bacteria iso late s from the keratitis in North Ch ina and their su scep tib ility to fluoroqu ino lones. 　M ethods　1985 corneal sp ecim en s from p atien tsw ith bacterial keratitis from J anuary 2001 to D ecem ber 2004 were cu ltivated, and the p athogene sis sp ectrum and re sistance of cu ltured bacteria to antib iotic s were analyzed. 　 Results　279 of 1985 iso late s sp ecim en ( from 151 m ale and 128 fem ale, m ean age 4514 years) were bacterial po sitive in cu ltu re, show ing a po sitive rate of 14 06%. The po sitive cu lture ou tcom e of Gram po sitive cocci and Gram negative bacilli wa s 4265% ( 119 /279 ) and 3513% ( 98 /279 ) resp ectively.
