Tibetan Guo Zhuang Song and Dance in Benzilan
Abstract
“Guo Zhuang”, is one of the four types of Tibetan folk singing and dancing; it can also
be called Guo Zhuo, or Ge Zhuan Zhuo. In Tibetan, it literally means “circle dance” and is a
kind of dance without any accompaniment by musical instruments.
Located at the foot of Mei Li Mountain in the Deqin County of the Diqing Tibetan
Autonomous Prefecture, Benzilan, on the bank of the Jin Sha River, has long been an
