Your Highness, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. ? Excellencies, Distinguished Guests, Ladies? Gentlemen Assalam-o-Aliakum ? It is my great pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to Your Highness and the distinguished members of your entourage, to Pakistan. Your presence among us today is a testimony of Pakistan’s special bonds of friendship and brotherhood with Kuwait that we greatly value. We feel a profound sense of affinity with Kuwait and its people, which is rooted in our common faith, heritage and values. ? Your Highness, ? I take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation for the prompt and generous assistance provided by brotherly State of Kuwait in the aftermath of the 2005 earthquake and to the victims of the 2010 floods in Pakistan. The response by the people and the Government of Kuwait in our hour of need has deeply touched our hearts. We are confident that with the support and solidarity of friends such as Kuwait, we shall be able to build a brighter future for people affected by these natural calamities. ? Distinguished Guests ? Pakistan and Kuwait share the same vision and aspiration for peace and stability of our region and prosperity and economic development of our people. ? There exists a great potential for our increased cooperation in a broad spectrum of areas, including trade, investment, and defence. We deeply appreciate the valuable contributions of Kuwait to our endeavours for economic development. Pakistan looks forward to further intensifying economic interaction with Kuwait in the years ahead. ? Your Highness, ?
