Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark (3a3b How I’ve changed!) 教学内容: Go for it! 九年级Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark. 3a 3b 写作课。 二、教学目标: 让学生学会如何运用有效语言书写有关自己变化的文章 三、教学重点、难点 写作过程中各个片段训练; 学会审题,学会如何谋篇布局、书写写作要点等。 四、教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show a photo of myself and ask the students some questions: Do you know this man? What did he use to be like? When the students know the man is me, go on asking: What do I look like now? Then the teacher say something about his changes and tell the students the task of the class is writing: How I’ve changed! Step 2 Revision Revise the words about appearance, personality and hobbies by using some pictures. Have the students rainstorm the words as many as possible. Have the students make up sentences like: He used to be short, but now he is tall by talking about some famous people. Step 3 Listening Play a video of my foreign student, have the students listen and fill in the blanks, and then answer some questions: What did she use to be like? What does she look like now? etc. Then have the students read the passage about the foreign student’s changes. This step can help the students know how to tell something about their changes. Step 4 Pre-writing Have the students read the statements in 3b, and ask them to tell what this step wants us to do: the key points. (how you have changed; what you used to be like; the most important change; why?) Then teach and lead the students how to write: How I’ve changed! 1.the theme of the article ; 2.the main tense; 3.the main person;4. the organization of the passage; 5. writing points. Have the students read the requests of 3a, ask the students to write notes about appearance, personality and hobbies. I used to be/have……(appearance) I used to be……(personality) I used to do/like……(hobbies) The most important change was (doing/ becoming)… Why?
