Language points 2. 主语为this/that, 可数名词单数及单个的人名、地名时，是第三人称单数。如： This is Tom. That is my school. Lily looks well today. Beijing is an interesting place. Apple is my favourite fruit. 3. 主语为时间、距离、金钱时，是第三 人称单数。如： Five years is too long. Three thousands kilometers is too far. Eight hundred dollars is too much. 4. 主语为不可数词句时，是第三人 称单数。如： Meat is delicious. 5. 主语为特殊疑问词who, what时，是 第三人称单数。如： What’s your friend’s name? Who is the person in this picture? 一般现在时主语为第三人称单数时，谓语动词要作相应的变化，具体变化如下： 一般情况下直接在词尾加-s like-likes, write-writes, want-wants 以字母s, x, sh, ch结尾的加-es catch-catches, brush-brushes, watch-watches 以辅音字母+y结尾的，变y为i，再加-es fly-flies, study-studies, merry- merries 有的动词的第三人称单数不规则， 如：have-has, go-goes Danny: How can you go to the bookstore, Jenny?
