;一、过去完成时 结构：助动词 had + p.p.(过去分词) 用法：表示过去某一时间和动作之前已经发生或完成了的动作或一直持续的动作(过去的过去)。 如： By the end of last term, we had learned 600 English words. He said he had finished his homework. The film had already begun when we got to the cinema.;二、过去完成时的标志 1. 和 by + 过去时间点连用，如： by the time, by then, by last year, by the end of last year/month…, by five o’clock yesterday evening… By the end of last term, they ____________(learn) 10 English. 2. 和before + 过去时间点连用 We ____________(arrive) the station before ten o’clock. 3. 和up till/until + 过去时间点连用，如：up till then, up until last night … Li Lei ___________ (wash) the dishes up till then. ;4. 常用于宾语从句中 She said that she ______________(write) three e-mails. 5. 和when, before, after, as soon as, until/till等引导的状语从句连用或用于从句中 Last night, as soon as I _______________ (finish) my work, I went to sleep. 6. 根据上下文判断 I went to Li Hong’s house, but he ____________(go) out. ;三、过去完成时特殊句型 1. No sooner… than… Hardly/ Scarcely … when… 句型： I had hardly got home when it began to rain. Hardly had I got home when it began to rain. 2. It was the first time that … 句型： It was the first time that I had visited Beijing.;四、学习过去完成时需注意的两个问题 1. 过去完成时态的肯定式，否定式，疑问式和简短回答。如： I had had my breakfast before six o’clock this morning. I hadn’t had my breakfast before six o’clock this morning. Had you had your breakfast before six o’clock this morning? Yes, I had. No, I hadn’t.;2. 如果两个动作紧接着发生，则通常不用过去完成时， 用过去时态即可。 I saw them reading books when I came into the classroom. After I finished my homework, I went out to play. ;【练习题】;【答案及解析】 B。考查动词的时态和语态。句意：索菲亚看了看周围所有的面孔，她印象中大部分客人她以前都是见过的。根据句意知，此处see的动作发生在过去的过去，同时由题眼before可知，该空应该用过去完成时态，故选B。
