(2016盘锦)Tu Youyou, 85 years old, is the woman who uses a kind of plants’ power to save many lives. She won a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2015 because of her great contribution. She shared the prize with two other scientists from the U.S. and Japan. When Tu joined the national research team to find the medicine that could fight against malaria(疟疾) in the 1960s and 1970s, things were hard. The team didn’t have advanced instruments back then.
