base OFFICE | 武康路 WUKANG base OFFICE 项目是及设计式办公和餐饮、零售等商业空间为一体的商业空间。它们分布在上海中心地块，由闲置破败的空间改建而来。武康路上最近尤受欢迎的咖啡店 Grains 和隔壁的美式馆子 Rachel’s 都是 base OFFICE 武康路的客人和朋友。 base OFFICE are hubs scattered in central Shanghai. They are independent offices, or combos of offices, restaurants and retail stores, all renovated from empty old buildings. The coffee shop Grains and its next-door neighbor, American diner Rachel’s are both housed in base’s latest project. ▲改造前 (before renovation) ▼改造后 (after renovation) 改建之初，两个门面就被相中。因为原建筑没有餐饮需要的下水设施，base团队应餐厅需求，设计、增加了相应设施。除了全程配合两家饮食店的基础需求，翌成的设计工作室 MASS 还为 Grains 进行了整体店面设计，由团队成员 Mariya Kovacheva 操刀完成。 As the original site was not equipped for FB use, the base team re-designed the drainage system to cater for the new needs. Mariya Kovacheva of Yichengs spatial design studio MASS, a parallel label of base, worked with the owner from overall planning to every finish. ▲ Grains 咖啡店 ▼ Hitachi Consultancy 中国办公室 Grains 和 Rachel’s 中间的主楼，则是咨询公司 Hitachi 的中国办公室。主楼本来被瓷砖裹得紧实如一座碉堡，让人看着透不过气来。改建后，恢复阳台，让房子一下子有了悠闲的气质。 The main building is now office for Hitachi Consultancy China. The old building, a depressed pink elephant wrapped in tiles has been transformed into an elegant three-story office with black-ironed balconies. ▲ Grains 内部设计也是 base 设计团队之一，Mariya 的作品 一层的洗手间供餐厅的客人使用，门在室外，要用密码解锁，相当神秘。洗手间的复古风格和美式小馆的腔调很搭，你大概不会相信，这么酷的洗手间其实出自两家餐厅的主理人 Franck 之手。The ground floor washing room is shared between Grains and Rachel’s. The unlock pass word takes you into a beautifully arranged space with a little lost-in-the-mirrors game.
