To train students’ communicative competence. 教学过程 Step Ⅰ Greetings Welcome the students back to school and ask them if they had a good time during the summer holidays. Invite different students to describe what they did in the summer vacation. Step Ⅱ 1a This activity reviews earlier vocabulary and introduces some new words. Read the instructions to the class. Read the list of ways of studying to the class. Point to actual objects in the classroom or to the items in the illustration to show the meaning of each item on the list. Explain that a flashcard is a piece of paper or card which students write a word on and use to memorize information. Ask students to check the ways they usually study for an English test. While they are doing this, write the list on the board. Then read the list to the class and ask students to raise their hands to show which things they checked, write the number of hands you see after each item on the board. Then ask students to write down other ways they study for an English test. When they have finished, ask students to read their lists to the class.
