Lesson 39　Danny’s Hobby 【教学目标】 1.能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇：huge, African, hen 2.能了解如何用英语介绍个人爱好。 3.能介绍自己的兴趣和爱好。 【教学重难点】 1.掌握一些与介绍兴趣和爱好有关的重点词汇：like, interesting, idea 2.激发学生兴趣,让学生运用所学知识介绍自己的兴趣和爱好。 3.掌握以下重点句子： ①It’s fun, and it makes me feel proud. ②I am doing a report for one of my classes. ③I need to show and talk about my hobby. ④Let’s trade photos! 【课前准备】 录音机、幻灯片、图片 ┃教学过程设计┃ 一、创设情境,切入主题 Step 1　Lead－in Lead in by showing some pictures of hobbies. Let the students check in groups and answer some questions. What is your favourite hobby？ Why do you like it？ 二、展开过程,探究新知 Step 2　Listening Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the passage. At the same time, fill in the blanks with the words you hear： 1.Danny likes collecting facts about their family________. 2.Grandpa Rex________English in Canada. 3.Many people buy milk and eggs at the________. Step 3　Reading Read the passage and answer the following questions： 1.What makes Danny feel proud？ 2.How did Grandpa Rex get eggs and milk？ 3.What does Danny want to talk about？ Read the passage and finish the task in class orally. Step 4　Practice Make a note to introduce your favourite hobby. Work in groups to finish the task. After a while, let some groups present their notes in front of the class. Step 5　Come to “Let’s Do It！”. Read the lesson again and ask the students to do Exercise 1.
