April 1, 1976 : Apple was established by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, to sell the Apple I personal computer kit.
April 16, 1977: The Apple II was introduced.
May 1980: The company introduced the Apple III in and attempted to compete with IBM and Microsoft in the business and corporate computing market.
1981–1985: Lisa and Macintosh
1978: Steve Jobs began working on the Apple Lisa .
1982: He was pushed from the Lisa team due to infighting, and took over low-cost-computer project, the Macintosh.
1986–1993: Rise and fall
1989-1991: the first golden age of the Macintosh

1994: Apple allied with IBM and Motorola in the AIM alliance.
