Since Sherlock Holmes first appears in A Study in Scarlet, the Sherlock Holmes stories have attracted the attention of innumerable readers and scholars around the world. The related scholars abroad write countless articles and books about the Holmes stories. His first appearance in “A Study in Scarlet” has caused a stir both in British and beyond, since then Sherlock Holmes as well as his creator Arthur Conan Doyle has been remembered by their readers. Sherlock Holmes has become the representative of justice, and the his career as “consulting detective” is associated with mystery and omnipotence by people, because every thorny cases would became simple when laid before him.
