National Academy of Development and Strategy, RUC, Beijing 100872, China) Abstract: The practice of ecological protection compensation in China has been great progress, at the same time there are some problems such as single channel source of compensation funds and compensation efficiency be urgently improved. At present, the main forms of international market mechanism of ecological protection compensation are payment for ecological service, the mitigation banking, protection bank, habitat trade, carbon trade, user charge, eco-tourism and eco-labeling.
