Advantages and Disadvantages of Living in the City While living in the city, we gain not only happiness, but worries. Also, the number of people going to the city and the number of people going to the countryside are increasing at the same time. So, there are several kinds of advantages and disadvantages of living in the city. On the one hand, we living in the city could gain the most of the convenience. Kids can easily get the better education and more opportunities than kids in the countryside so that kids living in the city can grow in an all-around way. What’s more, traffic is convenient due to the high development of technology that engineers use in the underground, highways, railways and so on. The last but not the least, it’s of great convenience for citizens to buy everything they want from daily supplies to luxuries and do anything they like. They can enjoy the colorful neon in the city or the beauty of this fast-developing city. On the other hand, people have many worries due to the disadvantages of living in the city. First of all, in big cities, traffic accidents are happening every day, despite the high technology used in the traffic. Also, traffic jam is another worrying problem. Meanwhile, urban consumption is higher than the consumption in the countryside. Citizens cannot afford the price of the houses any longer. The price of the fuel is also increasing nowadays. In addition, the several kinds of pollution in the city cannot be ignored when talking about the disadvantages of living in the city, such as air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution. To conclude, there are many advantages and disadvantages of living in the city and only by making a balance of the two aspects can we gain more wonderful lives in the city.
