Old row of shops, together with the land of the countryside will be used as bus station, car park, shopping centre, and new housing. The shops on the south side of the main road will remain the same, while new housing area will be added next to the park, which will be smaller than it is now. Overall, the future development of Islip town center will accommodate more households in that area.
