The modern port has gradually changed from the single and traditional one, as a place of transfer goods and transport, to an advanced service system, containing the modern logistic service and the comprehensive value added service. Qingdao is the economical head city in Shandong Province, and the growth of his port is one of the important parts of the city’s development. This article begins from the present condition of Qingdao port. Then based on the analysis of the current situation and development circumstances of the port, using the SWOT model analyzes the factors affecting the growth of Qingdao port. The factors include interior and exterior environment and the competition advantage and disadvantage of the port.
