There are eighteen students in our class. There is a pencil in my pencil-case. 二、There be句型注意事项： 1、There be句型中的be动词的形式要和其后面的主语在人称和数上保持一致。 如果主语是单数名词或不可数名词，be动词要用单数is。 Eg.There is a little milk in the cup. 如果主语是复数名词，be动词用are。 Eg.There are many birds in the tree. 2、主语为两个以上时，be 动词要和靠它最近的那个主语保持一致， 即“就近原则” Eg There is an orange and some bananas in the box.
